I first backed the vellum quote with the patterned paper that forms the very back layer. The hole in the middle is covered by the big piece of black scalloped cardstock. I struggled a long time, trying to find a design element to balance the picture and quote block. I prefer things to be a little disproportionate, but the photo and quote blocks were almost equal. I liked the swirls though (the little swirls were part of one big one that I cut up), which were inked to achieve the right color to match the photo mat and flower.
